Return on Time and AttentionDouglas Breitbart & Fabian Szulanski 2017Summary:The Industrial mindset reduces human value to time expended and resources applied; and utilizes a “return-on-investment” as the singular basis for decision making and valuation. We believe that human attention+time is the most valuable element relative to generative enaction of our world.
We also explore generative flows and contributions as non-reciprocal, ultimately uncoupled from space, time and the people responsible for their creation. This; in service to a collective commons value, need, and purpose.
Return on Time & Attention, redefines what “Return,” “Time,” and “Attention” mean when viewed through a Human-Being and Values-Centered lens. We explore the effect of prioritizing human experiential attention on the constructs of time and return; with resulting subordination of time in service to a more faceted expansion of what return means- increased generative flow and contribution.
